Carmine is an Earth Observation Innovation Fellow at the University of Leicester, working in the knowledge exchange domain to identify opportunities and bridge the gap between academia and industry.

Carmine has 15 years’ experience in working with regional development programmes and in setting up innovation support initiatives for the translation of Earth Observation research results from partner HEIs into operational products and services for B2B activities, local authorities, government departments, law enforcement and environmental protection agencies.

On the technical side, Carmine is specialist developer of optical and thermal remote sensing-based solutions for the monitoring of land, and deployed a number of projects in the agriculture and forestry sectors.
