TISICS was established in 2005 to develop a new class of materials and manufacturing technologies to help solve some of the world's toughest engineering challenges. It is a privately-held SME, based in Farnborough, the birthplace of British aerospace.

TISICS has been developing lightweight pressure vessels for gas and chemical propellants used in spacecraft since 2010, working with Surrey Satellite Technology Limited, Airbus Space and Defence, Thales Alenia Space and the European Space Agency.

There are 2 SPRINT Projects:

Project Title: A basis for fracture mechanics testing of metal matrix composites for space applications with The University of Surrey

Project Title: MMC defect reduction through optimised outgas processing with The Open University
