Calling all coders, researchers, scientists, designers, storytellers, problem-solvers and enthusiasts to address challenges faced by us all.

“Food security occurs when all people are able to access enough safe and nutritious food to meet their requirements for a healthy life, in ways the planet can sustain into the future. However, food security faces a number of challenges across both production and consumption which research will be essential to solve.”
Global Food Security

SPRINT is sponsoring the Copernicus Hackathon: Food Security and Resilience event from 19-20 September 2019.

For the Copernicus Hackathon, the University of Leicester is calling all coders, researchers, scientists, designers, storytellers, problem-solvers and enthusiasts to address challenges faced by us all. Over an exciting 48 hours, teams will work collaboratively using Copernicus data ‘coding experience’ to develop solutions to address global and local needs applicable to us all based on specific food security challenges.

You can submit your innovative food/water security idea to leicinnovation@le.ac.uk before 11 August 2019 for your chance to take part and win!
